Intellectual Property & Trademark Policy
1. Trademark Ownership
“WiseNotary” is a registered trademark of Wisenotary LLC. The WiseNotary name, logos, taglines, product names, service names, and all related visual identities are the exclusive property of Wisenotary LLC and are protected by U.S. and international trademark laws.
The WiseNotary® trademark is a registered mark. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and will be pursued through all available legal remedies.
2. Prohibited Uses
Without prior written authorization from Wisenotary LLC, no person or entity may:
- Use the “WiseNotary” name, trademark, or logo in any manner
- Register any trademark, domain name, or social media account that includes “WiseNotary” or confusingly similar variations (including but not limited to: “Wise Notary”, “WiseNotarize”, “WiseNotarial”, etc.)
- Use WiseNotary's trademarks in advertising, marketing, or promotional materials
- Create derivative works based on WiseNotary's intellectual property
- Imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with WiseNotary
- Use WiseNotary's trademarks in meta tags, keywords, SEO, or hidden text
- Use WiseNotary branding on physical materials, signage, or merchandise
3. Permitted Uses
The following uses are permitted without prior authorization:
- Factual references in news articles, reviews, or academic publications, provided the trademark is used accurately and not misleadingly
- Hyperlinking to wisenotary.com for non-commercial, informational purposes
- Comparative advertising where legally permitted, provided it is truthful and not misleading
4. Brand Guidelines for Authorized Partners
Authorized partners, franchisees, and White-Label users must comply with WiseNotary's Brand Guidelines:
- Use only official logo files provided by WiseNotary without modification
- Maintain minimum clear space around the logo as specified
- Never alter colors, proportions, or elements of the logo
- Include appropriate trademark notices (™ or ®) in all materials
- Submit all marketing materials using WiseNotary branding for written approval before publication
- Use only approved color palettes and typography in co-branded materials
- Never use the WiseNotary logo as part of another company's logo or brand identity
5. Copyright
All content on the WiseNotary platform — including text, graphics, UI design, images, audio, video, software code, and arrangement thereof — is copyrighted property of Wisenotary LLC, protected by international copyright laws. © 2024–2026 Wisenotary LLC. All rights reserved.
6. DMCA / Copyright Infringement
WiseNotary respects intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on the Platform, provide our designated copyright agent with:
- Description of the copyrighted work
- Location of infringing material on the Platform
- Your contact information (address, phone, email)
- Good faith belief statement that the use is not authorized
- Statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- Your physical or electronic signature

7. Enforcement
WiseNotary actively monitors and enforces its IP rights. Unauthorized use may result in:
- Cease and desist notices
- UDRP proceedings for domain name disputes
- Federal trademark infringement lawsuits under the Lanham Act
- Claims for statutory and actual damages, attorneys' fees, and injunctive relief
- Criminal referrals for willful counterfeiting
- Platform takedown requests
- Social media and marketplace removal requests
8. Reporting Infringement
