1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines permitted and prohibited uses of the WiseNotary platform. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to all users: Clients, Service Providers, Subcontractors, Partners, and Franchise operators.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Processing, notarizing, or translating documents for illegal purposes
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions violations
- Identity theft, fraud, or forgery
- Trafficking in counterfeit documents
- Circumventing export controls or international trade restrictions
2.2 Harmful Content
- Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Content promoting violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
- Content infringing third-party intellectual property
- Misleading, defamatory, or libelous content
2.3 Platform Abuse
- Unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools without authorization
- Interfering with Platform infrastructure or performance
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Reselling or redistributing Platform services without authorization
- Attempting to bypass security measures or rate limiting
2.4 Professional Misconduct (Service Providers & Subcontractors)
- Providing services without required licenses or credentials
- Misrepresenting qualifications or experience
- Accepting bribes or engaging in corrupt practices
- Breaching client confidentiality
- Performing unauthorized notarizations or certifications
- Deliberately delaying service delivery
- Soliciting clients outside the Platform to avoid fees
2.5 Data Misuse
- Harvesting, scraping, or collecting personal data of other users
- Sharing client documents or information with unauthorized parties
- Using client data for purposes beyond the agreed service scope
3. Enforcement
WiseNotary reserves the right to investigate violations and take action including:
- Written warnings
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Withholding of payments to Service Providers
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities
- Pursuing legal remedies including damages and injunctive relief
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any AUP violation, please report it to legal@wisenotary.com. All reports are investigated promptly and confidentially. WiseNotary prohibits retaliation against good-faith reporters.
